OUR TARGET DATE FOR REOPENING IS JUNE 1ST. WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING TELEMEDICINE CONSULTATIONS FOR OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA. THESE ARE FREE OF CHARGE AND CAN EXPEDITE YOUR TREATMENT ONCE WE REOPEN.
Michigan Dental Sleep Center is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff, and we are actively taking steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our practice. Every day we meet and exceed OSHA standards of care including sterilization and infectious disease control.
These are the universal precautions we always take any time you sit in our dental chair:
We wear single-use gloves and mask while treating patients.
We wear full-length sleeves and launder all of our work clothing on site.
We place each instrument after use into an autoclave which uses high-pressure steam and heat to kill every known infection organism, including coronavirus.
We wipe down each dental operatory after each patient visit with a medical-grade surface disinfectant that kills all known infectious diseases, including coronavirus.
We wash our hands thoroughly or apply alcohol-based sanitizers between each patient.
Our office is taking the following additional measures:
Medical grade air purifiers are placed through the office to kill viruses.
All patients will call upon arrival for their appointment and wait in their car.
Health Screening questions will be asked over the phone.
Temperatures of all employees and patients are taken upon admittance.
Plexiglass barriers are being placed at the reception and check out area.
Only patients being treated admitted inside the building, companions are asked to remain in their vehicle.
Patients are asked to use hand sanitizer or wash hands once inside the building.
Patients will be required to use a sterilizing mouth rinse at the beginning of their appointment.
Staff is disinfecting commonly touched surfaces in the office and waiting room throughout the day.
